Sponsorship

To sponsor, please fill in the Sponsor Form via the white button and set up payment via the blue button.

For every unit of sponsorship funds:

• 10% is used to help with fundraising and finding new sponsors in Uganda

• 90% goes to ensuring all the children in the care of Dwelling Places have an education, a safe home, food and medical care.

You will sponsor a specific child and will receive an information pack about your sponsored child with a photograph of them. Twice a year you will receive a letter from your child and are welcome to send letters and gifts to them.

The Story

Here at Dwelling Places (DP) we undertake 'street outreaches' throughout the year. Our teams go out to build relationships with children on the streets, gain trust and asses the situations to conduct appropriate care and support for them. From here they may be taken into one of our Transitional Rehabilitation Homes (TRH), where we look after them medically, educationally, emotionally and spiritually. We then set out looking for their family, relatives or a foster family for them. Once a family has been found and they have been resettled, the children at DP are then introduced into the Sponsorship Program. Your sponsorship provides the opportunity for a child to develop academically, socially, physically and spiritually. The child has access to Dwelling Places' services and is visited by Social Workers who monitor the child's progress.

Please sign up and fill in the ‘sponsors form’ if you are becoming a new sponsor, this enables us to claim gift aid and any tax deductibles where applicable. We shall contact you with updates on Dwelling Places and also send you letters from your sponsored child twice a year! Thank you.

Medical & Social £13

Medical and Social Welfare sponsorship covers all health needs for the children. Any doctors visits or medicines as well as visits and check ups from our social workers to make sure family life is running well. The cost is £13 per month. If you would like to sponsor a child’s medical and social welfare please email childsponsorship@dwellingplaces.org.uk. We will send you forms to fill in and return to us by email. Once you have done that we can send them to Africa to get a child allocated to you. Thank you.

Full Sponsorship

We also have the option below to fully cover a child’s sponsorship to make sure all their housing, food, educational and medical needs are covered. The cost is £53 per month. If you would like to fully sponsor a child please email childsponsorship@dwellingplaces.org.uk. We will send you forms to fill in and return to us by email. Once you have done that we can send them to Africa to get a child allocated to you. Thank you.
